Ney Dimaculangan of 6Cyclemind Goes Solo

From being a former band vocalist of 6CycleMind, Ney Dimaculangantakes a leap in his career as he goes solo.

The voice behind the award-winning ‘RPG Metanoia’ soundtrackentitled “Kaya Mo” (Best Theme Song for 2010’s Metro Manila Film Festival and Favorite Media Sound Track in the recent Myx Music Awards) and “Imortal’s” (ABS-CBN’s hit Teleserye) theme songentitled “Walang Hanggan”, a collaboration with Yeng Constantino, ventures into a solo singing career with his much awaited self-titled album under Star Records.
Having a perfect mix of alternative tracks, this album will surely be a hit to Ney’s avid fans as he sets on this new challenge. Ten songs in this album were all written, arranged and produced by no other than the premier band vocalist himself.
“It never came to my mind na magkakaroon ako ng ganitong project”, said the former band vocalist. “It would also be an opportunity for me to grow as an artist”, he added further.
Ney’s skills are beyond any question of musicality. In fact, with his previous band, he was able to release five successful albums with chart topping hits such as “Sandalan,” “Sige,” “Prinsesa,” “Upside Down,” “Magsaya,” “Kasalanan,” and the recent “Kung Wala Na Nga.”
Launched recently in Rockville Bar, Timog Avenue, Ney’s first album under Star Records is sure to enjoy good sales as Ney’s popularity extends to different parts of the country. His successful nationwide tours and brand promotions together with his former band under a famous alcoholic beverage proves his intense popularity.
Included in the album are 12 tracks, ten originals and two bonus tracks. Among the original tracks are “Sana,” “Velvet Skies,” “Tagapagligtas,” “Ligaw,” “Shut Up,” “Hopeless,” “Sama-Sama,” “Himig Mo,” “Fall-Out” and “October”. Bonus tracks include “Kaya Mo” and “Walang Hanggan.”
