Last weekend, “Tumbok” had an opening weekend gross of P6.79 million which is good for 4th place. “Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak”, which was running on its 3rd week managed to place 3rd. The Vic Sotto-Bea Alonzo starrer has now earned P72.31 which placed the movie as the 2nd highest-grossing Pinoy film for 2011 so far. “Catch Me…I’m In Love” is still in the lead and the only Pinoy movie to surpass the P100-million mark so far this year.
Topping last weekend’s box-office race in the Philippines is “Fast Five” followed very closely by the mighty “Thor.” The Marvel superhero movie is now on its 3rd week! It’s also the second film to be shown in the Philippines to surpass the P100-M mark this year. Now it’s currently the no. 1 movie in the country so far by virtue of its current gross of P126.1 million.
Meanwhile, Star Cinema’s “In the Name of Love” has reportedly grossed P15 million on its opening day last Wednesday according to Showbiz News Ngayon. The Aga Muhlach-Angel Locsin starrer is gaining positive feedbacks that it could hit P80 to P90 million by Sunday.
